About the position

As a Senior Project Engineer at MilliporeSigma, you will play a vital role in supporting the Life Science Business by managing and executing strategic and tactical capital projects. This position involves overseeing projects with budgets up to $10 million and collaborating with design firms, ensuring technical interdependencies are identified and addressed. You will contribute to the advancement of the Life Science strategy by evaluating sustainable and innovative solutions while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support capital projects up to $10 million, including design firms up to $2 million in fees.
• Support the technical project manager in developing project scope and reviewing external designs.
• Identify and ensure technical interdependencies are addressed in project execution.
• Evaluate effective and sustainable solutions in line with safety and quality requirements.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the North American Life Science network.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of professional experience as a Senior Project Engineer.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• PMP certification.
• Excellent communication skills with knowledge of quality regulations.
• Knowledge of facilities systems, packaging equipment, and material flow in distribution operations.
• Experience in analyzing complex situations to develop solutions.
• Skills in supporting larger technical investment projects ($10M-$100M) in mechanical engineering from idea to completion.
• Experience in a GMP production environment.
