About the position

The Senior Project Leader - EBS Financials at Arconic is responsible for leading projects within the Finance applications group, specifically focusing on the EBS functional areas such as General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Accounts Receivable/Credit. This role involves overseeing enhancements and support for EBS modules, acting as a consultant for various business units, and ensuring compliance with IT standards and methodologies. The position emphasizes continuous learning and process improvement, aiming to develop a roadmap for future upgrades and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects for the Finance applications group in the EBS functional areas of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Accounts Receivable/Credit.
  • Oversee continued enhancements, support, and further adoption of assigned EBS modules.
  • Direct others in supporting the existing on-premises systems and technologies.
  • Participate as an internal consultant to Arconic's businesses and various customer groups.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes in assigned areas and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the reactionary support and/or preventive maintenance process for the systems or technologies in assigned areas.
  • Work closely with customers to develop and maintain a roadmap for future upgrades within the EBS financial applications.
  • Ensure compliance with audit/compliance guidelines for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Operate within an offshore model that provides development and/or support solutions in assigned areas.
  • Lead the discovery, planning, and implementation of process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related subject from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical Information Technology experience, including Oracle EBS R12 application experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in leading several small to large projects, demonstrating a solid understanding of project management processes, methodologies, and techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of EBS Finance functional areas of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Accounts Receivable/Credit.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle's EBS R12 architecture from prior EBS experience.
  • Understanding of systems analysis, detail design, and programming techniques utilized in an Oracle EBS R12 environment.
  • Basic experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of governance and change management procedures in an IT environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong human relation skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers, vendors, and IT management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
