About the position
The position is part of WSB's Construction Services/Design Build Group, focusing on contract administration for various construction projects. The role involves project management, oversight, and administration of Federal, State, County, and City contracts, with opportunities for career growth in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and lead a team of lab, office, and field staff.
- Provide project management, oversight, and administration on various construction projects and contracts.
- Involved in the proposal development process and staff scheduling.
- Perform field visits and coordinate with project staff to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Oversee record keeping, inspection, and lab personnel for pay estimates and project documentation.
- Work on various project delivery methods including Design Build, CM/GC, ID/IQ, and conventional Bid/Build projects.
- Assist in contract administration duties including plan development, budget management, and schedule management.
- Coordinate with clients to ensure their needs are met and contract deliverables are executed at a high level.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Licensed in the State of Texas.
- Eight or more years of experience in construction and contract administration.
- Knowledge of material properties, TxDOT specifications, and contract administration practices.
- Prior design/build experience and familiarity with Field Ops and One Office program.

- Experience working in all weather conditions.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, plans, and special provisions related to roadway and bridge construction.
