About the position

This role is an important member of the client service team. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for creating project timelines and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders. The project manager plays a key role in customer satisfaction and ensuring projects are delivered according to the client's needs.

Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and schedule project timelines to maintain in Smartsheet for new implementations and Change orders.
  • Facilitate new demand estimates.
  • Own the estimate sheet and ensure estimates are provided by the appropriate teams in a timely manner.
  • Convert the hours estimates into costs, and ensure approvals are obtained by Sales Lead and Client.
  • Lead and create internal client status meetings and communicate project status via the standard PMO Project Status template.
  • Provide status updates for external client status meetings.
  • Schedule recurring meetings internally and externally for new project implementations.
  • Own and track QA, UAT, and client End-to-End testing activities for new project work.
  • Schedule all testing related calls and coordination within teams.
  • Run the testing calls internally and externally.
  • Manage release management activity and coordination between teams.
  • Document meeting notes in client meetings and publish to the appropriate stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Manage risk and contingency planning, including timely communication of project risks to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage new data vendor onboarding including obtaining budget, setting up kick-off meetings, facilitating SPARQ/DI testing, and scheduling appropriate touchpoints.
  • Coordinate go-live of the first production feed with both internal stakeholders and client stakeholders.
  • Participate in process improvements for implementation and estimation process efficiency.
  • Track and coordinate the efforts for compliance needs in new implementations and new demand by partnering with the compliance department.
  • Manage scope of new demand and adhere to project assumptions noted in the SOW.
  • Set client expectations with frequent communication and verify expectations with internal stakeholders prior to client communication.

Requirements

  • BS in mathematics, physics, statistics, engineering, or similar discipline.
  • IT background with experience across the systems development life cycle (SDLC) with experience in all project phases - plan, initiate, elaborate, design, build, test, implement.
  • 5+ years' experience in Project Management and methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Must be comfortable conversing with the end-users.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and communication skills including negotiation.
  • Experience in working with Global teams - internal resources, contracting resources and software vendors.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead meetings and give presentations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of projects within the program and the broader technology portfolio.
  • Mastery of project management methodology, tools, and templates.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage one or more large, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong team working skills across matrixed client, supplier, and geographically dispersed virtual teams.

  • Preferred skills include advanced Excel capabilities (v-look-up, pivot tables, charts, graphing, and macros).
