About the position

The Senior Project Manager (Data Engineering) will be responsible for overseeing project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders, effective communication, and strong organizational skills to drive project success in a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Conduct monthly reviews and biweekly sessions with a clear agenda to drive project progress.
• Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO), Confluence, and generative AI tools to manage project documentation and workflows.
• Develop and deliver presentations to stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication skills.
• Drive tasks to completion, ensuring all project activities are on track.
• Implement Scrum Agile practices, including daily standups, to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with the business to create requirements and use cases, particularly for front-end development projects.
• Develop use cases and manage proof of concept initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure project requirements are met and issues are resolved promptly.
• Lead and drive meetings with strong communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

• 6-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager within data engineering teams.
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) and Confluence; ADO tool is a must-have.
• Experience writing requirements for data engineering teams, with a preference for those with LLM/GenAI requirements writing experience.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with Scrum Agile methodology and daily standups.
• Strong focus on front-end development and creating business requirements.
• Ability to develop use cases and manage proof of concept projects.
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
