The Finance Operations (FinOps) Business Partnership (BP) team at Amazon is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role within the Global Transportation BP team. This position is crucial for driving the order-to-cash (O2C) performance across various Transportation businesses. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining operational and business metrics and targets, assessing priority areas for the business, and leading global operational reviews. Additionally, this role involves owning improvements to achieve set targets, making it essential for the candidate to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders, including Accounts Receivable, Service Centers, Sales, Finance, Legal, Accounting, Tech, and Customers, across all levels in a global environment. The ability to manage complex problem-solving, program and change management, and analytical tasks is vital, especially in a fast-paced environment characterized by ambiguity and high visibility priorities. The candidate will be expected to define key performance indicators, develop operational and business metrics, and track delivery against global objectives, ensuring that the organization meets its financial and operational goals. The position also requires the consolidation of inputs and challenging assumptions regarding performance drivers and projections from various stakeholders. The Senior Financial Analyst will need to obtain and summarize critical data sets to trace defect areas back to primary root cause drivers, scope future state solutions, influence roadmap decisions, and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions over time. Furthermore, the role involves solving critical customer, process, and system escalations effectively to ensure thorough root cause analysis and effective problem resolution, as well as identifying and quantifying financial and operational risks and opportunities.
