About the position

The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Global Logistics and Distribution and will be instrumental in driving transformation and change management initiatives across BD's global logistics operations. This role is critical in managing and overseeing complex logistics and distribution projects that span multiple regions. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans, coordinating necessary resources, and ensuring that projects are executed successfully within established timelines and budgets. In this position, the Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, supply chain planning, regional supply chain operations, and BD Excellence. The goal is to identify and implement projects that enhance processes and drive operational excellence. The role requires a strong focus on project execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to solve complex problems, demonstrating strong analytical skills and financial acumen. This includes cost reporting and business case development, which are essential for making informed decisions and recommendations for project improvements and optimizations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor global projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of outcomes.
• Support project leader to drive transformation and manage change.
• Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, partners, and authorities.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
• Prepare and present project reports, dashboards, and documentation, and provide recommendations for improvement and optimization.
• Demonstrate tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to solve complex problems.
• Utilize strong analytical skills and demonstrate financial acumen, including cost reporting and business case development.

Requirements

• Minimum six years relevant and recent hands-on experience managing projects at a global scale.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience in project management.
• Deep understanding of global supply chain operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
