About the position

The Senior Project Manager for Global Product Development Processes at Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. is responsible for managing global projects related to engineering processes and systems. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure effective planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting to senior leadership. The position focuses on the implementation of mechanical engineering software and standardization of engineering processes across global development centers, driving change management and fostering relationships within a diverse, multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Global Process Development and IT infrastructure teams to manage global projects.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage budgets and resources for projects.
  • Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.
  • Drive change management initiatives within engineering processes.
  • Coordinate and run global cross-functional project meetings.
  • Document, train, and facilitate the adoption of global processes.
  • Identify process opportunities and function independently.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership on large project implementations.
  • Ability to foster relationships between diverse multi-cultural organizations.
  • Proactive in identifying process opportunities.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles.
  • Experience in mitigating and reporting project risks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office for scheduling, resource planning, and budgeting.
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience implementing LEAN practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Quality-focused with an understanding of global regulatory requirements.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills for complex systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in technical contexts.
  • Exposure to industrial equipment such as materials handling or automotive machinery.
