About the position

The Senior Project Manager for Heavy Hospitality Ground-Up Builds is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the successful execution of large-scale hospitality construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires a seasoned professional with a robust background in project management, particularly within the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills, ensuring that all project phases are managed effectively and efficiently. In this role, you will lead and manage all aspects of hospitality ground-up construction projects, which includes planning, design, permitting, construction, and project closeout. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets, while also implementing quality control measures to ensure that all work meets the highest standards. Your ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders will be crucial in achieving project objectives and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements. Regular site visits will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to monitor progress, resolve issues, and uphold quality standards. You will also prepare and present detailed project reports, updates, and forecasts to senior management and clients, providing transparency and fostering trust. Additionally, mentoring junior project managers and support staff will be an important aspect of your role, as you work to cultivate a positive and collaborative working environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of hospitality ground-up construction projects, including planning, design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management with a focus on hospitality ground-up construction.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale hospitality projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
  • PMP or similar certification is preferred.
