About the position

The Senior Manager, Project will lead initiatives focused on stabilizing and enhancing HR technology systems at Waste Management. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to assess current processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions. The ideal candidate will utilize their project management expertise to ensure timely delivery, manage resources efficiently, and foster strong stakeholder relationships, ultimately aligning HR initiatives with the company's business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Owns and drives all project activities through the Project Lifecycle, applying various project methodologies to ensure quality and successful delivery.
• Assembles project teams, assigns responsibilities, develops project schedules, and acquires necessary resources under the supervision of Senior Leadership.
• Communicates the business case to the project team to assist with decision making and prioritization.
• Acts as a liaison between technology/business stakeholders and Senior Leadership on project status, issues, and risks.
• Creates and maintains project plans, ensuring effective financial forecasting and tracking.
• Interfaces with other technology and business organizations to reach agreement on scope and ensure proper preparedness.
• Monitors processes and procedures to ensure alignment with business goals, recommending improvements and strategies.
• Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to organizational policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or similar area of study, or a High School Diploma/GED with four years of relevant work experience.
• Five years of project management experience.
