The Senior Project Manager II position at ADM in Shawnee, KS, is a salaried, exempt-level role that plays a crucial part in overseeing projects within the Kansas and Midwest region. This position reports to the Capex Regional Manager and collaborates with an established team to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The Project Manager will act as a key liaison between various business units and cross-functional ADM stakeholders, effectively managing project scope, schedule, and budget. A proactive approach is essential for securing stakeholder buy-in for project implementations, and the role requires working collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals to drive successful project outcomes. The Project Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality work on projects that have significant financial impact and importance. In this role, the Project Manager will define project scope and plan the delivery of projects according to a roles and responsibility matrix. They will execute the project, including costing and implementation, following the Front End Loading (FEL) guidelines. Monthly project reporting to stakeholders is a key responsibility, covering aspects such as execution, commissioning, capitalization, and closure. The Project Manager will also manage scope changes and risk management escalation processes, ensuring compliance with local legislation and ADM requirements for permitting, safety legislation, quality assurance, HACCP, GMP, and HAZOP. Additionally, the role involves supporting contractor safety through preventative action plans and safety metrics, maintaining the safety and reliability of existing equipment during project implementation, and coordinating the development of necessary documentation for commissioning, training, and maintenance. The Project Manager will provide direction to contractual partners for project execution, utilizing a well-maintained work breakdown structure (WBS), and establish project structure and coordination with the project steering committee according to project governance guidelines. This position is integral to ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while also fostering a culture of safety and compliance within the organization.
