About the position

ADP is hiring a Senior Project Manager for our Nationals implementation group! In this role, you will lead a project team to implement client HCM projects by planning, organizing, controlling, and deploying key milestones, deliverables, and resources according to client and business goals. You will utilize specific templates and techniques to manage through the preferred project lifecycle to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes and budgets. Your primary goal will be to lead the project team to successfully implement clients on HCM products and services, while also adapting to the varying questions and solutions that arise each day. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be expected to manage large project teams, develop strong partnerships at all organizational levels, identify cross-functional resources critical to project objectives, and provide analysis and status reports of the project. You will also assess, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues as necessary, while championing best practices and process improvements to create an exceptional client implementation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a project team to implement client HCM projects by planning, organizing, controlling, and deploying key milestones, deliverables, and resources according to client and business goals.
  • Manage large project teams responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of projects to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes and budgets.
  • Develop strong partnerships and working relationships at all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
  • Identify cross-functional resources critical to project objectives and build diverse collaborative teams to drive business success.
  • Lead and influence initiatives and projects to provide strategic insights which enable efficient execution of project deliverables and milestones.
  • Provide analysis and status reports of the project, including business case, ROI, and post-project review.
  • Assess, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues as necessary.
  • Provide recommendations and suggest best practices towards creating an exceptional client implementation experience.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of project management experience and/or continuous improvement experience.
  • Prior work experience leading medium to large cross-functional and/or multi-year projects from concept to delivery.
  • Broad knowledge of project management processes, tools, and structured methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities (flexibility/adaptability).
  • Ability to demonstrate learning agility and critical thinking skills in new situations.
  • Ability to work and thrive independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to partner, collaborate, and work in a team (and matrixed) environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in the Human Capital Management (HCM) Industry and/or knowledge and understanding of payroll.
  • Experience with Financial Force, Anaplan, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • PMP, PHR, SHRMSCP, CCP, CBP, HCS, or other similar certifications from highly recognized professional learning institutions.
