About the position

The Senior Project Manager at AZAD will lead and facilitate large-scale, multi-year, multi-million dollar Control Center infrastructure, IT network, and applications integration projects within an enterprise-level energy utility environment. This role involves providing strategic recommendations for project roadmaps, managing project expectations, and ensuring successful delivery of project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate large-scale IT and infrastructure projects from inception to conclusion.
• Develop and recommend overall roadmaps for program initiatives and project objectives.
• Manage project expectations, approach, roadmaps, work plans, deliverables, and goals.
• Utilize industry-standard methods and tools for managing schedules, dependencies, resources, and funding.
• Document and communicate project plans, functional and technical specifications, schedules, resource plans, budgets, and presentations.
• Elicit information from stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the full lifecycle of projects through the IT Systems Development Lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 10 years of experience in project management with an applicable bachelor's degree, or 14 years of experience without a degree.
• Experience managing IT software and network infrastructure projects, including applications integration.
• Advanced skills with MS Project, including managing timelines, dependencies, and resources.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects in accordance with industry project management principles.
• Strong communication and customer service skills to advance projects in a large agency environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the energy utility sector.
• Familiarity with federal clearance requirements.
