About the position

The Senior Infrastructure IT Project Manager will lead multiple high-visibility technology initiatives within a Fortune 500 retail environment. This role requires a hands-on approach and exceptional communication skills to navigate complex technical projects, focusing on delivering robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead infrastructure-focused projects within the technology space, including data center migrations, networking, cabling, server and storage upgrades, cloud integration, disaster recovery planning, and infrastructure scalability initiatives.
  • Drive the end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including internal IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and risks while ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation using tools like Smartsheets or similar platforms.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Provide clear, concise, and regular updates to senior leadership and technical teams.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and align resources to meet business-critical needs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale IT infrastructure projects in enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in infrastructure technologies such as servers, networks, cloud platforms, and systems.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management, including executive communication and cross-team collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheets, Jira, or MS Project).
  • Consultant mindset with a focus on delivering value and driving continuous improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in Fortune 500 environments or global organizations.
  • Retail experience, particularly with IT infrastructure systems or related IT domains, is highly preferred.
