About the position
The Senior Project Manager for IT (Mobile and Web Services) will lead the project team within the Consumer and Dealer Applications Department, focusing on the design, development, and implementation of the Dealer Communication System (DCS). This leadership role requires managing a high-performing team and ensuring the project aligns with departmental and business unit objectives, while also overseeing the delivery of complex, large-scale applications across multiple business areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project team in alignment with department and business unit objectives.
- Manage the design, development, and implementation of the Dealer Communication System (DCS).
- Maintain a high-performing team comprised of associates, contingent staff, and vendor partners.
- Achieve project delivery goals including schedule, budget, and quality commitments.
- Define and implement processes and methodologies for robust delivery and operation of applications.
- Provide governance and oversight of end-to-end delivery and administrative direction.
- Work closely with multiple business areas such as Sales, Parts, Service, and Finance.
- Manage vendor suppliers and guide delivery of strategic and tactical projects.
- Develop and deliver proposals, dashboards, and presentations to management.
- Understand business and technical aspects of the system in a complex multi-organization ecosystem.
Requirements
- IS-related Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
- Strong customer mindset.
- 3-5 years of experience managing professionals and teams.
- 5-8 years of project management experience (Agile and Waterfall).
- Technical management experience.
- 2-3 years of experience procuring and managing outsourced partners.
- Ability to plan and govern strategic and tactical direction.
- Professional writing skills.
- Technical understanding of mobile, web, services-based solutions.
- Experience creating management level presentations via MS PowerPoint.
- Experience developing and managing a budget (at least $5M).
- Experience with client-server, SaaS, PaaS.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with dealer automotive systems, DCS/DMS projects.
- Experience with Liferay platform implementations.
