About the position

As a Senior Project Manager at Chugach Government Solutions (CGS), you will play a pivotal role in executing the base-level planning, coordination, project implementation, and documentation requirements for the MAX-GUN AFB Cyberspace environment. This position is essential for ensuring that all telecommunications systems networks are effectively managed and that new projects adhere to the strict standards set forth by the Unified Facility Code (UFC) 3-580-01, as well as existing Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force (AF), and Air Education and Training Command (AETC) security policies. Your work will directly impact the base-level demand for network services, including the distribution of voice, video, data, and bandwidth across the MAX-GUN AFB infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing the planning of base transmission media and telecommunications systems networks, evaluating new projects, and ensuring compliance with established standards. You will also respond to data calls and tasking from various military wings and commands, proactively identifying and documenting future infrastructure requirements. Coordination and documentation of Network Work Centers' activities will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all changes to cyberspace infrastructure and systems are properly managed and communicated. From the inception of projects to the completion of systems documentation, including as-built drawings and testing, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle. This includes ensuring that all necessary cybersecurity policies and risk management frameworks are adhered to before the project is turned over to the using activity. Your ability to manage diverse situations and communicate effectively with various stakeholders will be crucial to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Review the planning of base transmission media and telecommunications systems networks.
  • Evaluate new projects and network requirements to ensure adherence to Unified Facility Code (UFC) 3-580-01 standards and existing security policies.
  • Respond to data calls and tasking from the Wing, AU, and AETC.
  • Proactively identify, document, and implement future cyberspace infrastructure requirements.
  • Coordinate and document Network Work Centers' activities related to cyberspace infrastructure and systems changes.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, including systems documentation and commissioning.

Requirements

  • Must have current Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Valid Alabama state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
