About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager at Fort Wayne Metals will lead and manage complex IT projects, with a specific focus on ERP implementations. This role is essential for ensuring successful project delivery through effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills. The position requires a strong background in project management and ERP systems, along with a PMP certification. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project progress, managing resources, and fostering a collaborative team environment to achieve strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, facilitate, monitor and execute strategic and critical projects to ensure scope and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and communicate project progress to various cross functional departments.
  • Prioritize, track, and manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Develop, manage, and evaluate multiple project timelines, their resources, and their scope.
  • Apply project management principles and tools to reduce risk, improve outcomes and enhance communication.
  • Adjust schedules and resources to meet key goals.
  • Identify and minimize risks and issues, escalating and mitigating.
  • Create a collaborative culture with team members.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Lead and manage enterprise-wide projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 7 years equivalent experience.
  • PMP Certification or in process of completing preferred.
  • Strong background in project management and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
