About the position

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms, is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Marketing Operations. This role is integral to the marketing department, responsible for leading and overseeing the execution of strategic marketing projects. The Senior Project Manager will ensure that marketing projects are delivered on time and within scope while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This position involves developing and implementing project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders. By driving operational excellence and continuous improvement, the Senior Project Manager will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the marketing department, contributing to the overall success of the firm. The Senior Project Manager will define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders. They will identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation plans to address potential obstacles. The role also requires implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. Engaging with clients and external partners to understand their needs and ensure successful project outcomes is a key aspect of this position. The firm recognizes the benefits of supporting flexible working arrangements, allowing this position to reside in any of the New York, Philadelphia, or Washington DC offices with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation plans to address potential obstacles.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Engage with clients and external partners to understand their needs and ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in project management managing complex projects in a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with leading marketing and communications projects in the legal industry or a similar professional services environment is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide teams toward successful project completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and technology including Asana, Jira, Microsoft Project, Teams, and/or Workfront (or similar cloud-based project management tool).

Nice-to-haves
