About the position

The Senior Program Manager at Vertiv will play a crucial role in supporting Operations Strategy by planning, directing, and coordinating activities related to global manufacturing and operations initiatives. This position is responsible for driving Vertiv's Global Operations Strategic projects and the 3-5-year Operations Roadmap, focusing on operational excellence, process improvement, and large-scale capital expenditure deployment to enhance manufacturing capacity and meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall project management plans including scope, schedule, staffing plan, and budget.
  • Review project charter, business case, and requirements to establish execution methodology and resource needs.
  • Interface with executive stakeholders on project status and drive closure to key constraints.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate project activities across Vertiv teams, track progress, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Identify potential risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and executives.
  • Establish objectives and success criteria for the project in collaboration with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field.
  • 10+ years work experience in program management, process management, or process improvement supporting Manufacturing Operations programs.
  • Equivalent experience in a Global Manufacturing project management role supporting large scale Capex deployment programs.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Project, Excel, Power Point, and other project management software.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
