About the position

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of business solutions across various business units. This role requires expertise in project planning and execution, including scope management, scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, and client relationship management. The incumbent will lead complex enterprise-wide projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget while adhering to approved specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large complex enterprise-wide projects with deliverables spanning the entire organization.
  • Lead and work with a diverse project team from various parts of the organization, including IT and business units.
  • Prepare materials and train project team members in project management processes and tools.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, including milestones and tasks.
  • Revise project plans and schedules as needed due to approved change requests.
  • Prepare and submit project status reports to management and conduct regular project status update meetings.
  • Facilitate the project change management process.
  • Communicate with all areas affected by the project, including internal subject matter experts and external corporate departments.
  • Act as RFP Manager on assigned large complex RFPs, overseeing the development of RFP requirements and managing the RFP lifecycle.
  • Manage assigned process improvement and organizational change projects, developing change management strategies.
  • Chair team meetings, subcommittees, and taskforces of project teams, facilitating discussions and requirements clarification sessions.
  • Present project status, issues, and risks to Executive Level Management, Examiners, and Board of Directors as required.
  • Develop and document corporate best practices for RFP and project delivery methodologies.
  • Mentor staff in project management best practices and participate in hiring staff members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of job-related experience in project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Experience in financial services and retail banking is a plus.
