About the position

The Senior Project Manager (PMP) will oversee large enterprise-level projects, ensuring successful implementation and adherence to project management best practices. This role requires a strong background in project management methodologies, particularly in agile and SDLC, along with excellent communication skills to effectively present project documentation and reports. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft O365 applications and possess a PMP certification from PMI.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large enterprise-level projects from initiation to completion.
  • Gather and document project requirements effectively.
  • Develop, communicate, and present project documentation and reports.
  • Utilize software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies in project management.
  • Implement agile/scrum practices in project execution.
  • Maintain knowledge of information technology best practices and operations.
  • Utilize Microsoft O365 products and applications for project management tasks.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and manage project timelines accordingly.
  • Utilize ticketing systems like Jira for project tracking.

Requirements

  • Experience with project management of large enterprise-level projects with proven implementation success.
  • PMP certification (through PMI).
  • Experience in requirements gathering.
  • Ability to develop, communicate, and present project documentation and reports.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience in agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of information technology field, best practices, organization, and operations.
  • Expertise in Microsoft O365 products and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Project).
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing an ELC-funded project.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with technical staff, customers, and others involved in data-centric management.
  • Ability to integrate technical systems with agency goals and objectives.
  • Experience with industry standard information security practices.
