The Senior Project Manager for Social Media plays a crucial role in supporting the Microsoft Apps workstream, which includes popular applications such as PowerPoint, OneNote, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Microsoft To Do. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about social media and B2B technology, and who thrive in a collaborative environment. The SMPM will work closely with the Modern Work POD, which encompasses Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Windows 365, and Viva, to develop and implement content and platform strategies that drive impactful social content across Microsoft's cloud business. In this role, the SMPM will manage the content delivery workflow for their specific workstream, ensuring that all pieces of content are developed, reviewed, and delivered seamlessly. This includes overseeing the intake process, providing status updates, and facilitating transitions between teams and partner agencies. The SMPM will also collaborate with the programming team and Delivery Manager to optimize the content lifecycle, ensuring that all content meets quality standards and aligns with strategic goals. The position requires a proactive approach to managing social media content ideation and development, utilizing data-driven insights to inform strategy planning. The SMPM will be responsible for reporting performance against goals, collaborating with analytics resources to interpret data, and communicating effectively with stakeholders about social best practices. Additionally, the SMPM will oversee the editorial calendar for the Apps workstream, ensuring that all content is comprehensive and strategically aligned. The role also involves conducting quality assurance reviews of content, creating and advising on processes and best practices for demand generation, and contributing to integrated marketing projects as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to work successfully with diverse groups of stakeholders.
