About the position

The Senior Project Manager - Technical Services at McKinstry is responsible for managing and growing a highly technical, client-facing delivery team within the Digital Buildings Technical Services National division. This role focuses on improving the efficiency, comfort, sustainability, and lifespan of buildings through innovative energy management services. The position requires collaboration with local and enterprise-wide stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery, resource planning, budgeting, and team management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a highly technical, client-facing delivery team.
  • Support alignment of offering and delivery teams as they evolve.
  • Collaborate with local and enterprise-wide stakeholders to set and deliver project vision.
  • Develop resource plans, equipment requirements, and project milestones.
  • Play an integral role in project budgeting, scoping, and savings strategies.
  • Ensure effective project delivery by the technical delivery team.
  • Lead a team of individual contributors and managers, focusing on resource planning and career support.
  • Collaborate with team managers to develop project staffing plans and drive utilization targets.

Requirements

  • Engineering, Sustainability, Architecture, Environmental Science or Energy degree or equivalent work experience in the built environment.
  • Prior people management experience is required.
  • Ability to analyze project financials and assist with client interactions.
  • Experience in reviewing and improving processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of building efficiency and basic design principles.
  • Knowledge of data analytics in the built environment and ability to analyze utility data.
  • Familiarity with building HVAC mechanical systems, BAS systems, and energy analysis.
  • PE license preferred; BCxA CCP, ACG CxA, ASHRAE BCxP certification, and CEM preferred.
