About the position

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and grow its Transit team, providing vision and strategy for the practice while managing client relationships and business development efforts. The role offers significant autonomy to shape the practice and requires a strong commitment to integrity and sound business principles.

Responsibilities

  • Operate with integrity and sound business principles.
  • Provide practice vision, business planning, and strategy.
  • Serve clients directly and deliver for clients.
  • Establish goals and build positive client relationships.
  • Maintain open communication with partners and team members.
  • Grow the Transit practice and team with support from a national firm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Planning preferred.
  • Professional Certification as a P.E. or AICP preferred.
  • Ten or more years of Transit experience in growing and leading a Transit practice.
  • Experience with extensive client contacts and relationships with local or national clients.
  • Business development and marketing experience, including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
  • Strong desire and ability to engage with clients to solve project problems.
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge and experience of design principles utilizing Civil3D or Microstation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.
