About the position

As a Senior Project Manager in Utility Rate Consulting, you will lead efforts to support municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities across the Northeast. This role involves engaging with clients to develop sustainable revenue sources, manage multiple projects, and foster long-term relationships with various utilities. You will utilize your expertise to produce complex solutions, resolve technical issues, and ensure client satisfaction while considering equity and affordability in rate structures.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities to provide consulting services.
  • Lead communications within project teams and with clients.
  • Manage multiple projects independently or by leading small to medium project teams.
  • Drive sales growth by creatively engaging clients and developing long-term relationships.
  • Develop defensible rate plans that ensure adequate revenue for critical infrastructure needs.
  • Produce complex solutions and resolve technical issues for clients.
  • Recommend resources, delegate tasks, and assess risks to meet business development targets.

Requirements

  • Substantial years of consulting engineering experience in the water, wastewater, or stormwater industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Understanding of utility operations and project management experience with utilities.
  • Strong technical and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in asset management planning and financial modeling for public utilities.
  • Specialization in financial analysis of rate structures, pricing policies, and cost allocation methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and conciseness.
  • Leadership ability and a desire to manage and mentor others.
