About the position

The Senior Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Engineer at Thomas & Hutton is responsible for overseeing the design and management of municipal water and wastewater projects. This role requires a strong understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure, with a focus on local municipal and quasi-governmental clients. The position emphasizes leadership, project management, and the ability to coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee municipal water and wastewater projects.
• Coordinate with public and private clients, focusing on local municipal and quasi-governmental authorities.
• Analyze and manage several large or complex projects at one time.
• Develop and support project staff, evaluating their performance and potential.
• Ensure projects are completed on-time and on-budget under broad administrative supervision.
• Utilize project tracking software to monitor project progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• 15+ years of experience in designing municipal water/wastewater projects.
• Strong knowledge of Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, and Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with InfoWorks WS and/or InfoWater modeling software is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of project tracking software (Vision/Microsoft Project).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Project experience in the southeastern United States, preferably Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
