About the position

The Project Manager will oversee Information Technology projects involving cross-functional teams and multiple IT disciplines. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring successful project execution from initiation to closeout in accordance with IT Management Model and PMI standards. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders and manage project performance effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall project performance for IT projects, subprojects, and organizational initiatives.
• Ensure project costs, schedule, and scope are managed effectively, including developing recovery plans.
• Interface with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate project requirements.
• Communicate project issues with sponsors and key stakeholders, including executive-level presentations.
• Maintain good working relationships between project teams, internal resources, vendors, and interfacing organizations.
• Coach and lead team members to ensure task completion.
• Identify and obtain necessary project team resources.
• Ensure project team members understand their responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline and 4-7 years of project management experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated success in managing projects.
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or achieve CAPM within two years of job entry (PMP certification will fulfill this requirement).
• Ability to work independently and as a team leader, managing conflicting priorities in a multi-task environment.
• Strong independent judgment skills.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• 4-7 years of IT project delivery experience, including system integration and software development.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with leadership, business partners, technical teams, and vendors.
• Strong project management soft skills in facilitation, organization, and coordination.
• Experience with Financial Systems.
