About the position

The Senior Project Manager at Abbott is responsible for executing highly complex or specialized projects, ensuring compliance with corporate and divisional policies. This role involves developing and implementing security controls to protect technology assets, providing project management consultation, and mentoring throughout various project phases. The position also focuses on improving project management practices and competencies within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Provide project management consultation and mentorship of the various project phases and deliverables such as project plan development, network diagrams, and work breakdown structure (WBS).
• Analyze critical paths, manage schedules, resource planning, project budgeting, cost control, quality planning and control, and project organizational planning.
• Manage the delivery of consolidated scorecards, dashboards, and status reports to measure financial, quality, and schedule performance of all projects.
• Oversee the development and implementation of a project management knowledge repository to gather data across projects such as 'Lessons Learned'.
• Provide program facilitation services to support the evolution of project/portfolio management processes and tools.
• Further develop Abbott's project management maturity and help project managers improve competencies through coaching and educational materials.
• Proactively identify new trends in project and portfolio management and communicate these with key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 5-7 years of General Business Experience.
• 8-10 years of General Project Management Experience.
