About the position

The Senior Property/Casualty Actuarial Analyst is responsible for maintaining and developing actuarial programs, spreadsheets, reports, and models to support various tasks including ratemaking, financial reporting, product development, and regulatory analysis. This role involves compiling and analyzing financial and statistical data for the pricing of property/casualty lines and preparing reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Compile financial and statistical data for pricing of property/casualty lines.
  • Analyze data using spreadsheets, databases, and reporting software.
  • Oversee the evaluation, testing, balancing, and updating of related databases.
  • Prepare competitive exhibits and monitor competitive rate activity.
  • Prepare rate proposals and reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science.
  • Three years of property/casualty actuarial experience.
  • Willingness to pursue continuing job-related training and education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in pricing and multivariate analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word and Excel).
  • Completion of at least four actuarial exams.
