About the position

This position will assist in a wide variety of real estate and property management matters for the company. The role involves the analysis, selection, negotiation, administration, and coordination of the company's new and existing store Real Estate program. Additionally, the position will handle the relocation, replacement, expansion, and surplus store programs as assigned by the Vice President of Real Estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing CAM/RET reconciliations and collaborating with the Controller and Business Executives on monthly cash flow forecasting. The role requires maintaining journal entries and performing general ledger analysis, as well as assisting in the preparation and review of monthly development funding requisitions. Compiling journal entry adjustments to support financial reporting is also a key responsibility. The candidate will assist with special projects as requested, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. This position is crucial for the smooth operation of the company's real estate functions and requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple properties simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare CAM/RET reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience in real estate related and property management accounting with at least 2 years in retail real estate.
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate accounting experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their proper application within the property management and real estate industries.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, data management, analytical, written, and communicative skills.
