About the position

The Senior Proposal Graphics Illustrator/Analyst at Northrop Grumman is responsible for creating technical illustrations and graphics to support proposal production for civil and government solicitations. This role involves direct interaction with internal customers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality proposal graphics, utilizing advanced illustration techniques and Adobe Creative Suite. The position plays a crucial role in new business development and requires collaboration with various departments to maintain corporate branding and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support new business development by participating in proposal production in response to civil and government solicitations.
  • Translate facts and features of subject material into graphic concepts that effectively convey intended meaning.
  • Create graphic presentations that communicate mood, emphasis, insight, viewpoint, and similar visual impressions.
  • Use advanced illustration techniques to depict complex engineering operations, products, flow charts, and diagrams.
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to design and illustrate complex infographics, editorial renderings, graphs, and other forms of illustration.
  • Provide guidance on graphic technology and corporate branding.
  • Serve as proposal lead responsible for on-time production of proposal graphics and quality control.
  • Attend proposal kick-off and daily stand-up meetings, create art templates per RFP requirements, and provide metrics of proposal graphics for future planning.
  • Collaborate with off-site departments to develop company standards/formats including proposal art templates and guidelines.
  • Format internal customer briefings, posters, signage, and other graphics as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 10+ years of related professional technical illustration experience in support of technical publications, or a Master's degree with 8+ years of experience. May consider 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Advanced skill in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat).
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Software (PowerPoint and MS Word).
  • Ability to work in a secured environment and obtain a Top-Secret security clearance. US citizenship is a prerequisite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Aerospace and Defense contracting experience.
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
