About the position

The Senior Proposal Program Manager at Moog plays a critical role in supporting proposal development across various business markets within the Defense Division. This position involves collaborating with Business Development Teams, acting as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the proposal process, and ensuring compliance with proposal requirements. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage internal and external relationships and coordinate proposal activities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze solicitations, identify proposal requirements, and prepare compliant responses.
  • Plan and direct team activities through proposal preparation, fact finding, and negotiation.
  • Ensure process adherence and inclusion of appropriate stakeholders.
  • Act as point of contact, both internally and externally, from RFP receipt through negotiations.
  • Coordinate both internal and external meetings during the proposal process, while maintaining thorough documentation of strategy, communications, reviews, and decisions.
  • Write proposals and coordinate inputs to create the final deliverables.
  • Maintain regular communication with Business Unit leaders to understand strategies, goals, and customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of program management/project management and proposal related work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) and ability to present to numerous levels of leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate and effectively influence across multiple functions, teams, and businesses to achieve required outcomes and meet critical deadlines.
  • Must be comfortable working with large groups of people and effectively managing competing priorities.
  • Possess the ability to clearly and precisely express complex issues in writing.
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and US government contract types.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of software (Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information.
