About the position

GDIT is currently seeking a Solutions Expert/Proposal Technical Writer to join our team! This position will work remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, planning, and writing of compliant and compelling proposal content. As a key member of the proposal team, you will support GDIT Capture Managers and Proposal Managers in the planning and development of proposal win themes, and identification of discriminators, benefits, and key features of solutions on proposals across the entire enterprise. This position provides an outstanding opportunity to play a strategic role as we work together to create the Next GDIT and apply the breadth of resources available in our new organization to critical technology and mission challenges. The responsibility for determining our customers' needs and priorities and helping to shape customer acquisitions to position GDIT to win makes this both a challenging and rewarding opportunity!

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Volume Lead and/or Lead Writer for Technical Volumes of classified and non-classified proposals at the Intelligence & Homeland Security Division of GDIT ranging in value from $25M to $1B+.
  • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in developing technical sections of federal proposals is a key requirement for this position.
  • Work closely with Solutions Architects and Subject Matter Experts and operations staff to collect data required for the development of Technical Volumes.
  • Write, edit, and revise proposal materials and coordinate with technical and program personnel to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze RFP requirements and participate in solution meetings.
  • Participate in color team reviews.
  • Participate in the continuing quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Disciplines, Business Administration, English, Journalism, or a related technical or business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • 15+ years of federal proposal writing for a government contractor or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience as a Volume Lead, Book Boss, or Lead Proposal Writer.
  • TS/SCI with CI POLY is required.
  • US Citizenship is required.
