About the position

At Relativity Space, we are on a mission to revolutionize the aerospace industry with our innovative approach to rocket manufacturing and launch services. As a Senior Propulsion Integration Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of the Aeon-R hardware and manufacturing processes for our Terran-R vehicle. This position requires a high degree of autonomy and initiative, as you will be responsible for owning and developing the processes for the builds of major Aeon-R subassemblies and engine integration. Your focus will be on manufacturability, serving as the main point-of-contact between the manufacturing and design teams to ensure that the as-built hardware meets all aspects of the intended design. In this role, you will project manage a wide variety of hardware in varying states of their manufacturing lifecycle. You will develop processes and procedures for post-processing of 3D printed parts and recommend design adaptations to improve reliability and throughput. Your passion, tenacity, and resolve will be essential as you work through challenging issues unique to 3D printed and machined components. This position requires a high degree of cross-functionality between design, manufacturing, and test teams, making collaboration and communication key components of your success. The engine manufacturing department is dedicated to producing high-performing products and manufacturing systems by continuously innovating on cost, quality, and lead time. Through cross-functional collaboration and a focus on safety, we support the Terran R program by providing design feedback on new hardware iterations, developing new manufacturing methods and systems, and ultimately building engine and vehicle hardware for testing prior to our first launch. Our team's recent achievements include the successful manufacturing and testing of the first Aeon-R engine and implementing large-scale process improvements.
