About the position

Atrius Health, an innovative healthcare leader, is seeking a dedicated professional to join our integrated compensation team. Under general direction, this role encompasses a full scope of activities associated with the design, development, and administration of compensation programs. The successful candidate will manage projects, coordinate activities, and prepare recommendations that require a comprehensive understanding of provider compensation design, techniques, methods, and market practices. As an internal consultant to assigned functions and business units, this position will provide consultative and analytic support on various compensation programs and practices, ensuring consistency in implementation and legal compliance across the organization. The primary responsibilities include acting as the main point of contact for assigned functions and departments, utilizing a thorough understanding of compensation models to guide local decision-making. The role involves participating in the design, implementation, and administration of all provider compensation programs, which includes gathering and manipulating data, calculating compensation, processing changes and payments, and reporting to stakeholders. The candidate will also prepare reports and analyses, evaluate proposals for new programs, and monitor the effectiveness of ongoing programs, making recommendations for future initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Additionally, the role requires maintaining databases to support provider compensation programs, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, and consulting with internal and external parties to understand factors affecting business data. The candidate will conduct market analysis for physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs), assess compensation issues, and develop administrative processes to support variable pay needs. The position may also involve mentoring and directing the work of other compensation team members or junior analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point person for assigned functions, business units, and departments regarding compensation matters.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and administration of provider compensation programs.
  • Gather and manipulate data, calculate compensation, process changes and payments, and report to stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and analyses, including assessments of program affordability and cost to implement.
  • Evaluate proposals for new programs and monitor the effectiveness of ongoing programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding compensation programs.
  • Maintain databases in Excel and Access to support provider compensation programs.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues with IT or Business Systems Analysts.
  • Consult with internal and external parties to understand factors affecting business data.
  • Conduct market analysis for physicians and APCs using survey data and guidelines.
  • Assess and review compensation issues such as salary offers for new hires or promotions.
  • Develop administrative processes to support variable pay needs of specific business groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, human resource management, or data analytics (or equivalent education, training, or experience).
  • Five to seven years of compensation experience including program development, design, analysis, and implementation.
