About the position

The Senior Public Relations Manager at OpenText will lead strategic communications efforts focused on amplifying the company's voice in the cybersecurity sector. This role involves crafting and executing innovative communication programs that enhance OpenText's corporate vision and brand value, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and managing a robust press release pipeline. The manager will also oversee internal and executive communications, mentor the Cybersecurity Communications team, and drive impactful narratives in a rapidly evolving industry.

Responsibilities

• Execute corporate and technology public relations campaigns, generating media coverage for products and corporate thought leadership.
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders and collaborate with global PR agencies for outreach.
• Produce measurable public relations programs that communicate OpenText's leadership in the Information Management market.
• Write and edit press releases, Q&As, thought leadership articles, and blogs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines and communicating progress to senior leadership.
• Define, plan, implement, and optimize PR and communications programs focused on technology and executive thought leadership.
• Lead PR efforts for assigned OpenText businesses to support product launches and digital events.
• Develop and execute innovative communications plans within time, budget, and resource constraints.
• Support Partner PR initiatives and manage press release reviews and approvals.
• Analyze news and issues, develop solutions and messages, and gain media coverage for OpenText.
• Surface customer stories for media opportunities and manage the press release calendar.
• Report on progress to senior leadership and communicate risks and dependencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of PR or communications experience in a high-tech PR agency or technology company.

Nice-to-haves

• Relationships with media contacts in key trade and vertical outlets in North America or Canada.
• 4+ years of SaaS sales experience.
