About the position

The Senior Public Relations Manager at OpenText will lead strategic communications efforts focused on cybersecurity, enhancing the company's brand and visibility in the global market. This role involves crafting and executing innovative communication programs, managing press releases, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to promote OpenText's corporate vision and industry solutions. The manager will also mentor the Cybersecurity Communications team and work closely with executives to develop impactful communication strategies.

Responsibilities

• Execute corporate and technology public relations campaigns to generate media coverage for products and corporate thought leadership.
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders and collaborate with global PR agencies for outreach.
• Produce measurable public relations programs that communicate OpenText's leadership in the Information Management market.
• Write and edit press releases, Q&As, thought leadership articles, and blogs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines and reporting progress to senior leadership.
• Define, plan, implement, and optimize PR and communications programs with a focus on technology and executive thought leadership.
• Lead PR efforts for assigned OpenText businesses to support product launches and digital events.
• Develop and execute innovative communications plans within budget and resource constraints.
• Support Partner PR initiatives and manage press release reviews and approvals.
• Analyze stories and news, develop solutions and messages, and gain media coverage for OpenText.
• Build a robust pipeline of customer stories for media opportunities and manage the press release calendar.
• Track, measure, analyze, and report results of all PR programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of PR or communications experience in a high-tech PR agency or technology company.

Nice-to-haves

• Relationships with media contacts in key trade and vertical outlets in North America or Canada.
• 4+ years of SaaS sales experience.
