About the position

The Senior Manager of Corporate Communications specializing in Cybersecurity at OpenText is responsible for leading strategic communications initiatives that enhance the company's brand and visibility in the cybersecurity sector. This role involves crafting and executing innovative communication programs, managing press releases, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to promote OpenText's corporate vision and industry solutions. The position requires a dynamic leader who can inspire a team and drive impactful narratives in a rapidly evolving industry.

Responsibilities

• Execute corporate and technology public relations campaigns.
• Generate media coverage for product and industry solutions, as well as corporate thought leadership.
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders and collaborate with global PR agencies.
• Produce a measurable public relations program that communicates OpenText's leadership in the Information Management market.
• Write and edit press releases, Q&As, thought leadership articles, and blogs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
• Define, plan, implement, and optimize PR and communications programs focused on technology and executive thought-leadership.
• Lead PR efforts for assigned OpenText businesses to support product launches and campaigns.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across OpenText and the media.
• Develop and execute innovative communications plans within set constraints.
• Manage internal and external press release reviews and approvals.
• Assess stories and news, analyze issues, and develop solutions for media coverage.
• Surface customer stories for media opportunities and manage the press release calendar.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of PR or communications experience in a high-tech PR agency or technology company.
• Proven track record of generating media coverage and managing PR campaigns.

Nice-to-haves

• 4+ years of SaaS sales experience.
• Strong relationships with media contacts in key trade and vertical outlets in North America or Canada.
