About the position

The position involves leading the creation and implementation of integrated Public Relations plans, projects, and campaigns aimed at recruitment, member engagement, and donor outreach for NMDP. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet objectives and are delivered on time, while also developing relationships with media contacts and influencers. This is a remote position based in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies for and implement public relations activations to support recruitment initiatives and goals.
  • Communicate proactively with recommendations, plans, project status, issues, barriers, and solutions.
  • Develop an editorial calendar for integrated earned media tactics.
  • Direct PR agency to create strategies for earned media tactics, including content development and media pitching.
  • Develop strategies around influencer opportunities and media outlets to drive awareness and recruitment.
  • Leverage Meltwater to track media coverage and Klear for influencer campaigns and reporting.
  • Create and manage project timelines through Asana, ensuring on-time and on-budget project completion.
  • Develop marketing briefs and work orders via Asana for brand and creative team support.
  • Track tasks and projects using Asana to prioritize deliverables and timelines.
  • Provide direction to internal and external SMEs on content and visual design development.
  • Partner with recruitment marketers to amplify campaigns and ensure alignment with national goals.
  • Oversee project reviews and ensure timely incorporation of feedback.
  • Develop engaging content for earned efforts that drive brand awareness and meet project objectives.
  • Measure project effectiveness and track metrics in collaboration with the Analytics team.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of media and newsroom operations and news story cycles.
  • Experience in non-profit public relations and communications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management tools like Asana.
  • Familiarity with Meltwater and Klear for media tracking and influencer engagement.
