About the position

The Senior Purchasing Manager at Henkel is responsible for managing the spend, KPIs, and projects linked to the purchasing category in North America. This role is a key contributor to the global purchasing strategy and is accountable for its tactical implementation. The position involves supplier selection and contract negotiation, with potential future supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the spend, KPIs, and projects linked to the purchasing category in North America.
• Contribute to the development of annual team objectives.
• Accountable for supplier selection and contract negotiation (T&Cs).
• Implement global purchasing strategy tactically.

Requirements

• MBA degree with a minimum of three years of related purchasing experience, or a four-year college degree with six years of related experience.
• Expert knowledge of market dynamics, general industry, and cost drivers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing practices, supply chain management, and contract law as it applies to procurement.
• Strong ability to drive cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to multi-task and manage complexity.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to identify milestones and meet deadlines.
• Self-starter with a strategic mindset.
• Advanced level in Excel; experience with SAP and Ariba is a plus.
