About the position

The Senior Python Developer will be responsible for providing L3 production support for Python-based applications, enhancing code quality, and driving efficiency within the development team. This role requires strong expertise in Python, along with experience in frameworks such as Django or Flask, and proficiency in automation testing using Pytest. The developer will engage with business users and application owners to resolve technical issues and document processes to maintain a knowledge database.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 Production Support for python based I&CM core applications
• Provide solutions to technical issues, including hands-on code enhancements and defect fixing to the applications in the portfolio
• Serve as a champion for change
• Drive for tactical outcome to increase development team’s efficiency and productivity
• Engage with the business users, application owners and other affected parties during problem resolution
• Document lessons learned, help maintain knowledge database
• Coordinate end to end application onboarding to production
• Occasional off-hour deployment and application validation support.

Requirements

• Expertise in writing code in Python
• Experience with NumPy and Pandas
• Proficient in Django or Flask frameworks
• Good experience in Automation Testing using Pytest
• Ability to design and implement web-based applications using Python
• Experience in SQL performance tuning and writing complex SQL queries
• Familiarity with code management tools including Git
• Experience in Agile software development processes
• Experience with DevOps (CICD) environments is a plus
• Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
