About the position

The Senior Python Developer will play a critical role in the technological evolution of a leading global commodities firm. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining Python applications within a collaborative global technology team. The role is essential for delivering exceptional software solutions to support the firm's growth in the energy, oil & gas, financial services, and commodities sectors.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python applications for the global technology team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business users, software engineers, and product managers.
• Create exceptional software solutions for middle and back-office operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience & certification.
• Minimum of 5 years software development experience.
• Expertise in Python programming, including Pandas.
• Experience in writing multithreaded and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience in SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Well-versed in API-based solutions, with FAST API desired.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools and AWS basics, including Kubernetes.
• Experience in building applications using Kafka.
• Solid understanding of OOP principles and design patterns.
