Effective communication is crucial, as the developer will need to articulate their work to both technical and business stakeholders, ensuring that all team members are aligned and informed. The position is structured as a 6+ month W2 contract, requiring four days of onsite work in Atlanta, Georgia, and one day of remote work each week. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders due to client requirements. Responsibilities

  • Streamline automation tasks, metrics, and controls from the Cloud Operations team.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts following best practices in design, performance, security, and testing.
  • Call REST APIs and implement best practices for retries and error handling.
  • Create comprehensive documentation including production runbooks and code explanations.
  • Participate in Agile processes, defining user stories based on requirements and contributing to planning and estimation.
  • Communicate technical work effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Python scripting with knowledge of best practices including design, performance, security, and testing.
  • Experience in calling REST APIs and implementing best practices for retries and error handling.
  • Familiarity with Git, GitLab, CI/CD, pipeline stages, code reviews, and deployments.
  • Ability to create documentation for code, including production runbooks and explanations of functionality.
  • Familiarity with Agile processes, user stories, and features.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud operations and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks related to cloud automation.
