About the position

The Senior Python Developer role is focused on providing L3 production support for Python-based core applications in the I&CM domain. This position requires hands-on development experience, particularly in Python and SQL, to enhance application functionality and resolve technical issues. The developer will engage with business users and application owners to ensure efficient problem resolution and will be responsible for documenting processes and maintaining a knowledge database.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 Production Support for Python-based I&CM core applications.
• Provide solutions to technical issues, including hands-on code enhancements and defect fixing.
• Serve as a champion for change and drive tactical outcomes to increase development team's efficiency and productivity.
• Engage with business users, application owners, and other affected parties during problem resolution.
• Document lessons learned and help maintain a knowledge database.
• Coordinate end-to-end application onboarding to production.
• Support occasional off-hour deployment and application validation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Proficient with SQL, including performance tuning and writing complex queries.
• Experience in designing and implementing web-based applications using Python.
• Ability to develop specifications and designs for complex applications or modify/maintain existing applications.
• Experience in code analysis, requirements analysis, and software reliability analysis.
• Familiarity with standard code management tools including Git and Agile software development processes.
