Cognizant Digital Engineering is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and architect high-performance Java-based enterprise systems. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams to create scalable, secure, and efficient solutions while adhering to architecture guidelines and best practices. The position is hybrid, based in Hartford, CT, and requires a strong background in Python development, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Write production software in Python, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Develop and support the middle layer of the application to build, test, and deploy RESTful microservices.
• Create shared services components and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical solutions that align with business objectives.
• Collaborate with teams to identify potential issues early in the development cycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working as a Python developer with RESTful API development skills.
• 2+ years of microservices development experience.
• Proficient in writing unit tests and using code coverage tools.
• 2+ years of experience in TypeScript/React JS.
• Good written, verbal communication, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery processes.
• Analytical and self-motivated with the ability to work effectively within a global team environment.
