About the position

The Senior Python/Quartz Developer will be responsible for creating technical documentation and mentoring junior developers while enhancing team capabilities. This role involves designing, developing, and testing risk applications for the Cleared Derivatives Business, ensuring optimal performance and usability of software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Object-Oriented Design patterns to create and enhance software solutions for the OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives Intraday Risk and Clearing Certainty Platforms.
• Take the lead on designing, developing, and testing Risk applications tailored for the Cleared Derivatives Business.
• Work closely with business and credit risk partners, as well as other teams, to identify, understand, and resolve issues that arise during the development process.
• Maintain regular communication regarding project status, highlighting any potential issues to ensure transparency and timely resolutions.
• Document technical processes, designs, and application functionalities for future reference and team knowledge sharing.
• Provide guidance and support to junior developers, sharing best practices and facilitating their professional growth within the team.
• Leverage an N-Tier Component-Based Architecture in developing scalable and maintainable applications, ensuring optimal performance and usability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Python development, specifically with Python 3.x.
• Experience with Quartz Stack - DAG, QzRT, QFS Deal Model.
• Proven experience with Pub/Sub and Queue Messaging Systems, with AMPS being preferred.
• Familiarity with IRS, CDS, Repos, and Futures/Options Products.
• Strong database skills, including proficiency in SQL and Oracle, with a focus on table design experience.
• Experience with MongoDB - NoSql, JSON, design patterns.
