About the position

The Senior Python Software Developer will play a crucial role in enhancing the Developer Platform by developing features, managing the developer directory, and ensuring compliance with security and policy controls. This position requires a full-stack developer with a strong background in Python and cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to deliver high-priority changes and new functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in provisioning and developing the Developer Platform developer directory.
• Add features to the service and team registry.
• Help create new client libraries.
• Handle tasks, issues, and features across the services owned by the team.
• Deliver top-priority changes and new features for the developer platform.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in Python web development using Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with MySQL, Postgres, or MongoDB.
• At least 3 years of experience setting up or maintaining applications in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or similar environments/tools.
• Experience setting up and starting projects that run in a cloud-hosted environment using infrastructure as code.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining APIs using GraphQL.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with front-end development, especially React.
• Experience integrating applications with LDAP in Python.
• Experience giving demos to technical audiences.
• Solid experience building and designing highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available systems.
