Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Define and maintain quality assurance standards and best practices.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, track, and report software defects and inconsistencies.
- Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of defects.
- Design and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.
- Continuously improve testing processes and frameworks for efficiency.
- Advocate for best practices in software quality and testing methodologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies.
- Mentor and support junior QA team members.
- Provide clear and comprehensive documentation of test processes and results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques.
- Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for database testing.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
- Certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent.
