About the position

The Senior QA Analyst at Epic Games plays a crucial role in overseeing the quality assurance process for development strike teams on shared projects, particularly within the Fortnite product. This position involves collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and producers to ensure high-quality user experiences through effective testing strategies and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in game QA management, a passion for innovation, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a stakeholder in QA for development strike teams on shared projects.
• Work with Art Leads, producers, and QA management to define acceptance criteria and identify risks.
• Plan testing coverage for upcoming features/releases.
• Coordinate test efforts between geographically distributed teams, vendors, and agencies.
• Build test strategies and test plans for multiple features in a dynamic environment.
• Ensure art content meets shipping standards and expectations.
• Factor planning around functional, qualitative, and performance testing efforts.
• Execute a variety of testing techniques using both manual and technical skills.
• Track and report on quality data to drive conversations around product quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software testing experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of test methodologies and iterative development.
• Technical understanding of web, mobile, XR, or game technologies.
• Experience in functional and usability testing in your domain of expertise.
• Experience with cross-platform or cross-browser testing.
• Experience with digital art in a testing environment.
• Familiarity with diverse and fast-paced art pipelines and tools like Autodesk/Shotgrid.
• Knowledge in game engines or 3D software toolsets, backend servers and APIs, Games as a Service model development, Agile/Reactive test strategies, and UE4/5 game engine experience.
