About the position

At HCSS, we are seeking a Senior QA Analyst to join our dynamic Development team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our software solutions for the construction industry meet the highest quality standards. As a Senior QA Analyst, you will leverage your extensive experience, typically around 5 years, to enhance our testing processes and contribute to the overall success of our applications. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated test scripts, ensuring that our software validation functions are executed flawlessly. Your expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestComplete will be crucial in creating and executing test plans and scripts for our web applications. In this position, you will oversee all software validation functions performed by the team, ensuring that all inputs and outputs align with customer and stakeholder expectations. Collaboration with the development team will be essential as you work to understand features and technical implementations. You will also play a key role in promoting the growth of QA skills within the department, particularly among junior QA employees, by advocating for high-quality behaviors and providing coaching and teaching. Your contributions will not only help in identifying risks in software but also in defending user experience, thereby enhancing the overall quality of our products. Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for our applications
  • Oversee all software validation functions (testing, review, release) performed by the team
  • Ensure that all team input (models, requirements, designs) and output (features, releases) work to meet and exceed customer and stakeholder expectations
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand features and technical implementations
  • Grow the practice of high-quality behaviors in your team and other QA employees through teaching, coaching, improving efficiency, and promoting change

Requirements

  • Significant experience as a QA Analyst (typically more than 5 years)
  • Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestComplete, or similar)
  • Experience in creating and executing test plans and scripts for web applications
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
  • Demonstrated advocacy for the growth of quality standards in software development
  • Proven track record of identifying risks in software and defending user experience
  • Desire to promote the growth of QA skills across the department and specifically in junior QA employees
